I had more interest on computer science and want learn more on a computer. I shared my view with my brothers for going another college to continue my education in computer science with my brothers because they were a source of funding without them I was not able to continue study. I got a green signal from brothers for supporting my undergraduate study in the capital city. There were only two public colleges offered BSc computer science program and had a huge competition to get in place for study. I had applied one of an oldest science college in a city and was able to get a second position in an entrance exam. I joined my dream course and started a study. It was hard to survive in the capital city with a limited fund and I thought to start part time job that could support at least my tuition fees. Getting a job in the capital was hard without completing under graduation. The first year was completed with good grade and first position in a class. After completing my three day food intake in iProfile, I was given a closer examination at where my strengths and weaknesses lie in terms of my diet. Most of my protein came in the form of protein shakes, and meat, my carbohydrates were from waffles or the occasional potato, and my lipid intake is from the meat I eat. I noticed that I consume a lot of protein, a moderate amount of fat, and not enough carbohydrates. I feel in order to meet my DRI for carbohydrates I could add more whole grains like wheat bread, or brown rice and that may help. I do feel that most of the protein I ate are complete proteins since they came from meat and eggs, but I also supplement amino acids into my diet since I am so physically active and need the extra boost to protein synthesis. It is important to get a lot of complete proteins because they contain the essential amino acids that they body doesn’t produce on its own. Macronutrient intake is important for many reason, the main one being providing the body with the appropriate level of energy. Too much macronutrient intake can lead to obesity and disease, while too little can lead to a weakened immune system, and a general level of weakness and malnutrition. Protein is a macronutrient which in proper amounts helps build muscle and support organ function. Too much protein can lead to liver problems, kidney problems, and weight gain, and not enough can leave you with poor muscle tone, and can impair your immune system. Eating too many carbohydrates can lead to obesity, while not consuming enough can lead to malnutrition. Eating too many food sources containing fat or lipids can lead to higher cholesterol and cardiac disease, while eating the right amount can help decrease the risk of high cholesterol and heart disease. Fiber in my diet didn’t quite make the mark either during the three days covered according to my iProfile. I can see why this would be so considering I really don’t eat many whole grains. I do try and eat a lot of vegetables and fruit, but I am thinking I am really going to need to increase this. Most of my daily fiber comes from my morning meals which generally consist of eggs, and some form of fruit. So after three days of recording what I eat, I can see that while I do not include a lot of unhealthy foods in my diet, I do not include enough food into my diet period. I am a heavily active individual, and as such I am realizing that I need to bring up my calorie intake to properly fuel my body. I meet my protein intake but fall short everywhere else. I will be trying to eat more fiber and carbohydrates in the form of fruits and vegetables from now on. My meals have been incorporating ,more legumes since the start of this class and I am going to be trying to find ways to increase my fiber intake. I don’t drink juice, but I imagine if I did, it could help increase my caloric intake as well as my fiber intake. I do take in a proper amount of protein, so I don’t worry about any problems with muscle development or impaired organ function, but I keep consumption in safe levels to avoid kidney problems. Carbohydrates are something I can increase since a lack of them can contribute to malnutrition and general weakness. A sufficient amount of fiber is important too since it helps bowel function and will help prevent diseases like diverticulitis. Lastly, the proper amount of fat in your diet is necessary to maintain healthy levels of cholesterol and help prevent heart disease.

Odysseus & Aeneas If there is any possibility that a comparison could be made with the famous journeys of Odysseus and Aeneas, it must be known that Aeneas is actually a hero in search of his own soul while Odysseus is a hero trying to find his old life and in a sense, his old soul. The Aeneid is very much of a spiritual quest, which makes it unique in ancient literature and in contrast with the Odyssey. Only Virgil admits to the possibility that a character can change, grow, and develop. In the story's earlier stages, the character of Aeneas is obviously unsure of himself, always seeking instructions from his father or from the gods before committing himself to any course of action. In the underworld he sees a perspective of the future history of Rome down to the time of Augustus, and that vision gives him the self-confidence to act on his own initiative. Comparatively, Odysseus is driven though his journey beginning with apparent self-confidence and continuing with a vengeful vigor. While reviewing the myth's fantastic journey, I wondered if Aeneas was great because his fate made him great or was he great because he had the courage and determination to live up to the role fate handed him? There is a side to Aeneas, I noticed that is not very impressive, even when I could almost understand why he feels the way he does. He is sad, tired, always waiting for his father or the gods to tell him what to do. But Aeneas always fulfills his duty to his family, to his country, and to the gods, even when he is depressed. He is never selfish. He always puts his responsibility to others first. In that way, his actions throughout his journey to the underworld were somewhat different that Odysseus'. In Aeneas' case, he too was as great of a survivor as Odysseus. In fact, he at least matches him in the way that he is one of those people who can lose everything and still start all over again. Aeneas goes from being a victim of the Greeks at Troy to becoming a conqueror in Italy. Virgil's Aeneas is the first character in Western literature who actually changes and develops. His struggles help him discover who he is and what he thinks is important. If I had to name one quality that defines Aeneas throughout his journey, it is his devotion to duty, a quality that the Romans called pietas or piety. This quality keeps him going even when he would rather forget about his fate. Ultimately, this same quality makes him accept, even welcome, that fate. Because, when Aeneas finally realizes that all his efforts will make the glorious Roman Empire possible, his love of his family and his country are fulfilled. The lack of verbal communication between his father and himself can be seen in his poem "Those Winter Sundays." The overall impression of the poem is that love can be communicated in other ways than through words; it can be communicated through everyday, mundane actions. For example, in the poem, the father awakens on "Sundays too" to warm the house with a fire and polish his sons shoes. There is a sense of coldness in the beginning of the poem through the lines: Sundays too my father got up early and put his clothes on in the blueblack cold. Hayden’s father is not only bringing physical warmth to him by making the fire; he is also bringing spiritual warmth to him. By the end of the poem, the reader feels an overall sense of warmth as the poet comes to a better understanding of his father’s unappreciated actions. In terms of Romanticism, the idea of transcendence seems to be present in the poem in regard to the fact that the father-son relationship is beyond words. The relationship exists, but it is difficult to articulate. Also the idea that Hayden is rising to a deeper understanding of his relationship with his father is present. Surprisingly, in a similar survey in 2004, only 40% of the women wanted to stay in a â€Å"joint family†. 2.Almost 50% of the respondents said that they would marry their partner even if they did not get along with their future in-laws. 3. 85% of the male respondents wanted their future wives to work after marriage. Since the respondents are mainly urban centric, this is not surprising; although a high figure of 85% is refreshing. 4. 69% of the women want their partner to be better educated than them, whereas only 10% of the men wanted their potential wives to be better educated than them. This does not mean the Indian male is entirely chauvinistic; 62% of the men would prefer their future wives to be as educated as them. 3% of women and 40% of men would pref er their future partner to be a postgraduate. 5. 34% of the women respondent did not mind marrying a partner who made less than them. Parents as well as unmarried men and women are being influenced by th ese changes, a comprehensive Parents Day online survey involving more than 15400 members of BharatMatrimony has revealed.The findings of the survey conducted by BharatMatrimony to commemorate Parents Day on July 24th this year and released to the media today offered interesting insights, trends and rare nuggets of information about how the youth regard marriages and the role of parents with respect to important marital decisions. When asked whether the views of Indian parents are changing today, 67% of the unmarried respondents said yes and only 13% disagreed while the remaining said neither yes nor no. Nearly 35% said that their parents would be ok with any choice they made; 40% said that their parents would be ok if it was within their religion; only 17 % said that their parents would insist on finding a match for them. Interestingly, 59% thought that a marriage arranged by the parents was better because of their experience.Nearly 76% of the parents who took part in the survey believed that their children would get married only with their blessings. 66% of the parents felt that marriages arranged by them would prove more successful as they had more experience! Again, a similar percentage of parents believed that their children would not disregard their advice and tie the knot with someone they didn't approve of. About 16% of the parents believed that they wouldn't be able to influence marriage decisions! When asked, ‘what do you think are your views on marriage? 20% o f the parents said that they would be ok with any choice made by their children; 23 per cent were also ok with the idea if the partner belonged to the same religion. However 23% insisted that important decisions like this were better left to them. 33% preferred to play a supporting role only, whatever be the decision.
